CMA is working with an ambitious, dynamic company. Due to a number of their existing clients requiring a UK presence they have set up a UK Head Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Reporting to the UK Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the business at an exciting time, where you will build the team and implement processes and controls.

What will the role involve -

  • Processing a range of financial transactions into accounting system
  • Processing a number of small payrolls
  • Setting up payments on the banking platforms
  • Bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
  • Assisting with the preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting with preparation of periodic management accounts
  • Data Management System control, source document and checklist administration
  • Following firm's risk management and quality control procedures at all times
  • As experience increases you will have an opportunity to take on more responsibility

Suitable candidate -

  • Our ideal candidate will have good educational background and studying towards ACCA/CIMA
  • You will have a strong practical knowledge of the principles of bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns
  • You will ideally have practical knowledge of Sage L50 accounting system
  • You will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritise, multi-task and plan effectively. You will be comfortable operating in a client facing environment
  • We are looking for a candidate with good inter-personal skills and a collaborative approach who will be helpful and willing to support wider team

Standard working hours are 35hrs a week and there is an element of flexibility around start and finish times.

The office is accessible via public transport and also has onsite parking.
