Assistant Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is representing our client based in Basingstoke, Hampshire with an opportunity which has arisen for an Assistant Accountant whilst the business carries out a system implementation.

The main responsibilities will be:

• Support the team with processing Purchase ledger and expenses transactions
• Reviewing expense claims against Expense Policy, setting up bank payments and dealing with expense queries
• Maintenance of current expenses software and leading the migration to a new system.
• Complete month end tasks within the deadlines and assist team with Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Resolution of queries and ad-hoc duties as required.

The ideal candidate will be able to start immediately and will possess strong Accounts Payable experience, be able to work alone and to prioritise their workload.

The position is initially offered on a temporary basis with a view to potentially become permanent. The business offers a very friendly and open working environment and could offer long term career prospects and security.
