A respected UK insurance company is currently looking for an Analyst to join their claims operations team to be based out of either London or Maidstone.

The mission is to provide insureds with superb coverage and claims handling through careful and diligent underwriting of risks and business-friendly solutions.

In this position you will take part in a variety of projects and have responsibilities supporting the insourcing of the UK regional claims function from a leading loss adjuster. The claims operations team now involves itself in a broad range of underwriting entities and an ever wider variety of regulatory activities.

What will the role involve?

  • To be the expert and point of contact for the technical claims teams and offshore team to ensure the correct presentation of the Market Claims Bordereaux
  • Administration of complaints and monitoring performance against regulatory timescales
  • Collection and reporting of conduct risk information to appropriate groups and committees
  • Monitoring controls within the claims function
  • Ensuring correct evidence is being stored
  • Liaising with various auditors in the provision of evidence
  • Obtaining and organising feedback on the performance of technical experts i.e. lawyers, loss adjusters
  • Feedback and performance of TPA's.

Suitable candidate:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the claims handling process, especially in London Market
  • Experience of using CLASS, ECF and IMR for London Market bureau claims
  • Experience of monitoring and handling complaints across other territories
  • Strong communication ability, literate, numerate, able to work autonomously and use own initiative.

  • If suitable experience and expertise is available in either Manchester or Maidstone considerations can be made due to local office locations
  • An internal review has highlighted the need to enhance the bandwidth of the team to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements and enable more aspects to be taken in house from outside contractors.
