Financial Accountant

CMA are partnering with a Public Sector organisation based in Portsmouth to recruit a financial accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a large organisation as they work through a period of growth and change. You will have a direct impact on the strategy of the organisation moving forward. You will be responsible for statutory reporting within the organisation.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

• Production of statutory accounts and all technical reporting;
• Production of VAT and resolving any VAT related queries;
• Overseeing treasury functions including banking and associated reconciliations;
• Other ad hoc duties within the technical finance team.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA qualified
• Previous experience in a public sector organisation would be a bonus.
• Strong technical finance experience including production of statutory reporting.
• Previous VAT and Tax experience is a bonus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
