CMA Recruitment Group is supporting an SME manufacture business in their recruitment of an Interim Financial Controller for a period of 6 months. Working as number 1 in finance for the site, this role will report to the MD and will be an integral part of the senior leadership team and will support while the position is recruited on a permanent basis.  This position benefits from the autonomy of an SME role while also having support from the larger group business.

What will the Interim Financial Controller role involve?

  • Lead the finance team and oversee the production of all financial information.  This will include preparing board packs and liaising with auditors at the year end while keeping the MD fully informed of any risks to the business.
  • Support smooth site operations and play a key role in product costing and WIP.  Work with non-finance Managers to ensure budgets are fully understood and that sound cost control is in place.
  • Liaising with Group finance function, ensuring reporting is timely and accurate and supporting wider group objectives.

Suitable Candidate for the Interim Financial Controller vacancy:

  • Applicants for this vacancy will ideally be CIMA/ACCA or ACA qualified and have worked in a manufacturing or engineering business.
  • Enjoy working in a position which combines being both hands on and working at a strategic level.
  • Possess a combination of excellent finance skills, commercial acumen and excellent business partnering ability.
  • Experience of working within a SME business, ideally combined with having either worked in a group business or larger entities is desirable.
