CMA is delighted to be working with a prestigious Winchester based client to recruit a Payroll Officer on an interim basis with the possibility of permanent employment.

You will be joining a friendly and welcoming team who take great pride in their work and the organisation that they are a part of. Our client has a long, rich history and is a recognisable employer within the Winchester area.

What will the role involve?

  • Sole responsibility for one monthly payroll, one weekly payroll and one pensioners' payroll totalling circa 500 employees. This covers all aspects of payroll production, including data collection, issuing the payroll and reporting to the Revenue and other authorities;
  • To ensure all tax, national insurance, pension contributions and similar deductions are charged and calculated properly;
  • Completion of monthly and year end returns, including benefit-in-kind returns (P11d and P9d) and PAYE Settlement Agreements etc;
  • Completion of monthly and year end returns to the pension providers;
  • To administer sick and maternity pay;
  • To deal effectively and courteously with payroll and pension queries from other employees.

Suitable Candidate:

  • Previous experience of running a similar sized payroll function;
  • Experience of using Midland I-Trent Payroll is desired but not essential.
