Senior Financial Acountant

Our Berkshire based client is a fast-paced, innovative and industry leading business. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of the Statutory Reporting process, working as a key member of the Financial Reporting team. The key responsibility of the role will be to support the external consolidated statutory reporting of the Group, with significant involvement in overseas financial and tax reporting.

What will the role involve?

• Assist with the preparation of half yearly and year end statutory group reporting, including consolidated group accounts in line with IFRS reporting standards;
• Preparation of UK statutory accounts from trial balance for multiple entities;
• Work closely with the Head of Financial Reporting, wider business stakeholders and external auditors throughout the annual audit cycle;
• Support the improvement and implementation of reporting, consolidation and group-wide processes;
• Preparation of quarterly VAT and UK corporation tax returns, liaising with HMRC where required;
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders within the Group;
• Support the wider finance function as and when there are workload demands;
• Support, development and mentoring of junior members within the team.

Suitable Candidate:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with an excellent academic record;
• Ideally experience of working in a UK accounting firm;
• Experience of working with or in international groups;
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with accounting reconciliations;
• Excellent communication and IT skills, ideally experience with using ERP systems.
