CMA Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Sales Ledger and Cashier Manager to join a leading organisation within the aerospace sector. This role carries responsibility for managing invoicing, debt collection, and cashiering processes across both UK and overseas operations. With five direct reports, this is a people-focused leadership role that combines operational delivery, system expertise, and process improvement. What will the Sales Ledger and Cashier Manager role involve?

  • Leading the Sales Ledger and Cashiers team (5 staff), ensuring clear objectives, performance management, training, and development.
  • Owning the customer invoicing process for UK and overseas clients, ensuring amounts are billed accurately and collected within credit terms.
  • Investigating overdue accounts, escalating where necessary, and working closely with commercial managers, legal advisors, and regulators.
  • Managing the billing and collection service provided to overseas governments, including accurate income distribution.
  • Overseeing day-to-day cashiering, bank transactions, reconciliations, and reporting, in partnership with Treasury.
  • Ensuring robust internal controls to safeguard customer data, prevent fraud, and maintain compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Acting as SAP Business Process Expert, managing functionality for cash management, AR and SD modules, and leading on system changes and user testing.
  • Driving process improvement initiatives, streamlining workflows, and ensuring finance processes support the wider business strategy.
  • Contributing to business strategy as a key stakeholder on developments affecting billing, cash management, and finance operations.
  • Maintaining business continuity plans for critical processes, aligned with information management and data protection requirements.

Suitable candidate for the Sales Ledger and Cashier Manager vacancy:

  • Proven experience in Sales Ledger and Cashiers management, supported by accountancy qualifications or substantial relevant experience.
  • Track record of managing and developing a team, with the ability to recruit, train, coach, and motivate.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, reconciliations, and risk management.
  • Excellent SAP knowledge (S4 HANA an advantage), with hands-on involvement in system improvements or implementations.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage projects and workloads to tight deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business discussions with confidence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to drive continuous improvement in systems and processes.
