CMA Recruitment Group has been retained by Enable Ablity, a Portsmouth-based charity, founded in 1950 when they began helping people with cerebral palsy.  They now provide a range of services for people with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities for ages 5 to 65.

Their mission is simple: through the provision of services, that offer care, friendship, stimulation, and motivation, to help disabled people achieve their full potential – whilst giving families and carers much-needed respite.

Due to impending retirement, a Part-Time Finance Manager is required to pick up the reigns after the incumbent's successful 25-year tenure.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the finances for this £1.5M T/O charity, working closely with the Trustees and Chair.

What will the Part Time Finance Manager role involve?

  • Managing all income and expenditure, cashflow reporting to Trustees and Chairman;
  • Month-end reporting and liaison with the external accounts at year-end;
  • Processing all sales and purchase ledger invoicing;
  • Staff expenses;
  • Payroll support, making BACS payments.

Suitable Candidate for the Part Time Finance Manager vacancy:

  • An inquisitive mind, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain financial processes to non-financial staff;
  • Previous experience of working within a charity would be desirable;
  • Self-starter, with a flexible approach and the drive to always add value.

  • Part Time hours – c20 per week, some flexibility for more hours;
