Are you a hands-on Financial Controller looking to take ownership within a well-established premium consumer brand? What will the Financial Controller role involve?

  • Preparing monthly and annual management accounts to support business performance and decision-making.
  • Managing cash flow forecasting across multiple currencies, including oversight of foreign exchange exposure.
  • Leading the budgeting process and monitoring performance against plan.
  • Taking ownership of VAT compliance across UK and EU jurisdictions.
  • Overseeing payroll, ledgers, bank reconciliations and day-to-day finance operations.
  • Reviewing stock, distribution costs and sales channels to identify efficiency improvements.
  • Supporting and developing junior finance resource, whilst working closely with the senior leadership team.
  • Taking responsibility for wider operational areas including insurance, compliance and outsourced IT relationships.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller role

  • Experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller within an e-commerce, manufacturing or direct-to-consumer business, ideally in an SME environment.
  • Strong technical grounding across core finance, with the ability to operate in a hands-on and autonomous role.
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships with senior stakeholders and contribute to ongoing business growth.
