Our client is a renowned global business with a UK base in Basingstoke. They are currently seeking a Financial Controller to join their team and would consider a temporary to permanent appointment.  This is a new and pivotal role that will report directly to the Finance Director and will be instrumental in managing all financial activities for the UK division.

What will the Financial Controller role involve?

  • Oversee the daily operations of the finance function.
  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly management accounts and conduct variance analysis.
  • Develop and manage forecasts and budgets.
  • Prepare and supervise monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and accountants in preparing statutory accounts.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate reports.
  • Ensure smooth cash flow operations and assist the UK FD in achieving annual operational plan (AOP) targets.
  • Continuously enhance financial functions, including reporting, systems, and processes.
  • Handle additional queries and tasks as required.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy:

  • Qualified management accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with robust technical skills in management reporting and delivery.
  • Proven people management experience and strong analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles and their practical application.
  • Excellent communication, business partnering, and interpersonal abilities.
