Interim Financial Controller

We are working with a respected, fast-growing business in the engineering sector, based in Petersfield, Hampshire in the recruitment for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake a 6 month contract. 

What will the Interim Financial Controller role involve?

• Provision of financial leadership to support the organisation’s strategic financial direction, including developing budgets, forecasts, and scenario planning.
• Overseeing the day-to-day management of finance operations, including management accounts, compliance, reporting, and controls.
• Ensuring robust financial systems and procedures are maintained, identifying efficiencies and improvements.
• Supporting external audits and maintaining statutory compliance with VAT, corporation tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Preparation, processing and reporting of payroll for 100 employees.

Suitable Candidate for the Interim Financial Controller vacancy:

• A qualified accountant with proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
• Demonstrable experience managing teams and external audit.
• Hands on experience of processing monthly payroll.
