Financial Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established international business based in the Fareham, Hampshire area to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finalist or recently qualified accountant who enjoys combining hands-on financial reporting with genuine business partnering.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

• Partner closely with local Business Controllers and finance teams to review monthly results, investigate variances and ensure the numbers accurately reflect business activity
• Manage key revenue accounting activities, including reconciliations, revenue recognition, cut-off, rebates and returns provisions
• Take responsibility for operating expenditure reporting, including accruals, prepayments and monthly spend analysis
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, supporting quarterly balance sheet reviews
• Produce monthly reporting packs and provide clear variance commentary for stakeholders
• Ensure financial reporting is delivered in accordance with US GAAP, corporate accounting policies and the internal control framework

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA finalist or recently qualified accountant
• Ideally 1–3 years’ relevant accounting experience, gained within industry, a multinational organisation
• Strong understanding of month-end accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
• Exposure to US GAAP and/or SOX controls would be highly advantageous
• Experience working with an ERP system such as Oracle or SAP would be beneficial
