What will the HR Assistant role involve?
- Managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including liaising with recruitment agencies, preparing documentation, and supporting new starter inductions.
- Overseeing staff training programmes, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with budget and approval procedures.
- Supporting HR meetings by taking detailed notes and assisting with administration of employee records, reports, and HR database updates.
- Administering employee lifecycle processes, including absence management, performance reviews, and leaver procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies, contributing to the firm’s ongoing commitment to quality and integrity.
Suitable Candidate for the HR Assistant vacancy:
- Proven experience in HR administration or co-ordination within education, an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport with colleagues at all levels.
- Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and relevant compliance standards.
- Enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Additional benefits and information for the role of HR Assistant:
- £30,000 - £35,000 salary (pro rata) depending on experience.
- Flexible part-time hours, with work aligned to school hours (approx. 5 hours daily).
- 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, plus additional days around Christmas.
