CMA Recruitment Group is supporting a reputable retail and leisure company based in Ferndown who is currently requiring a Purchase ledger supervisor to join their well-established finance team to support in the management of a team of 5 in accounts payable in addition to working in a hands-on capacity supporting the team in ensuring invoices are inputted in a timely manner.

What will the Purchase Ledger Supervisor role involve?

  • Leading and developing the purchase ledger team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency while striving for continuous improvement
  • Overseeing day-to-day processing of supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments to ensure timely and accurate transaction handling
  • Building relationships and communication with branches
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT regulations and internal control processes while managing fraud prevention measures
  • Managing supplier relationships, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies to optimise cash flow and supplier satisfaction
  • Supporting and contributing to finance projects and system improvements that enhance departmental efficiency and accuracy
  • Support in system upgrades testing and driving efficiencies such as paperless processes

Suitable Candidate for the Purchase Ledger Supervisor vacancy:

  • Proven experience managing high-volume purchase ledger processes within a mid to large-sized organisation
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Solid understanding of VAT regulations, financial controls, and best practice accounting procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels and present information clearly
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
