Senior Financial Accountant

Highly successful independent and innovative Manufacturing Group based in Chichester, West Sussex, has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to undertake responsibility for the compliance and accurate monthly financial reporting to support the business on their continual expansion and growth.

What will the Senior Financial Accountant role involve?

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant will include:

• Production of month end reporting including journal preparations and balance sheet reconciliations;
• Supporting the preparation of the statutory accounts including acting as key liaison with external auditors;
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of all statutory returns including VAT, PAYE, ONS and R&D tax credits;
• Management of the banking facilities, including managing ad hoc payments and preparation of periodic cash-flows.

Suitable Candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant opportunity:

• Applicants will either hold a full accountancy qualification or be qualified by experience with a proven track record of working in a similar position ideally within a fast-paced environment;
• The successful candidate will be comfortable being hands on and a self-starter who can critically appraise existing processes making recommendations for new workstreams to improve the accuracy of reporting.
