Meet the Team – Rachel Amaning, Divisional Manager, Guildford

Rachel Amaning has been a part of the CMA family since 2016. As she takes up her new role as CMA Divisional Manager and moves across to head up our newest branch in Guildford, we thought now was the perfect time to re-introduce Rachel and celebrate why we think she is just the person to help establish CMA firmly in the Surrey area.

Having more than 17 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, Rachel has lived and worked across the CMA region. Starting her career in Winchester, she later moved to Banstead in Surrey to work across the Kingston, Wimbledon, Epsom and Redhill areas. She eventually relocated back to Hampshire to live near the water, settling in Warsash where she now lives with her husband, two children, Cavapoo puppy and two cats.

A passion for recruitment

During her career Rachel has been brought in to several recruitment teams, in order to use her expertise to successfully build new offices or work with teams to instill a higher level of performance (and success). With a passion for accountancy and finance, having specialised in this sector for more than 13 years. She says: “I have managed desks within all levels of finance including transactional, part-qualified through to senior qualified finance roles.”

For the past three years, Rachel has taken the opportunity to work on the senior qualified desk with Aran Purewal in the Southampton office. Rachel loves the fast pace of recruitment as the job is constantly changing and challenging – and there are always new opportunities. She says: “I love meeting new people and having the chance of changing their opinion of recruiters by being genuine, human and caring about the individual.”

CMA Guildford

We have a long history of serving clients in the Surrey area. In our 40+ years of business we have built up relationships with organisations and candidates around the Thames Valley and Solent regions. This is why we were delighted to launch our next office in Guildford in 2020 which is supported by the wider CMA network in Basingstoke, Southampton and Portsmouth.

Rachel and her team will be bringing their own expertise, knowledge of the region and of course the core CMA values to the table. CMA has a reputation for its open and honest approach, for working collaboratively and in the best interests of our clients and candidates – and we are delighted to be able to use this new office to deliver this excellent service to more clients and candidates in Guildford and the surrounding area.
